Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Merry Christmas Gwynnie and merry Christmas internet lovers one and all. Hope you have all been enjoying the festive period. I have been having a short break from the blog over the festive period but not to fear I have still avoided much contact with the family. I have instead had the excuse of trying out all my new gadgets and computer games. Gwynnie great news I now have a Wii, a Nitendo DS a brand new laptop with the best and fastest internet connections and loads of great new games for my playstation and PC!

I also have some news for you all - I have been checking out lots of new chat rooms over christmas. I was on the simms one day over christmas and I was thinking about the idea of virtual realities and the idea of creating new identities, like you do with the characters on the simms. And I suddenly thought, no one seems to like me as me, so why not make me into some one else. Anyway I set about creating a new character for myself and it was so much fun and it wasn't difficult either. I decided to use a broad chat room with teen rooms, adults rooms, computer games chat rooms etc. if you want to check it out it's - http://www.chat-avenue.com/. Then I just created a fake identity. Gwynnie it's great you really have to try it, people actually like me. It might have something to do with the fact that I now look like this ..................
But really living as someone else on the internet is far more exciting than living your own boring life. Gwynnie you really must try it, there are several well educated handsome computer freaks that already seem quite interested in me can you believe! Some of them have even hinted about meeting up, perhaps this is it Gwynnie, perhaps I'm on my way to getting my first ever date!!!

I'm sorry I promise I love the internet really - I don't want to go outside - the screen is all I need to keep me satisfied.

The internet is my God

Excuse me???? Fresh Air?????

I'm throughly dissapointed with you FiFi, you are now not a true Internet lover and I feel our relationship is now in tatters, how could you?

Living on the internet?

Firstly - Sorry Gwynnie for the colour change I was just trying to make our page more interesting and make us seem a bit more hip, and in with the cool cats.

I was just thinking though it is amazing to be able to do all this stuff on the internet but wouldn't it be nice if just sometime we spent the day with our family. I think I remember going outdoors with them once - sometime before I found the internet and maybe once in a while it might be nice to do that wouldn't it? x
Hello, this is Gwynnie speaking!(typing actually)

Well I hope you internet lovers paid no attention to FiFi, she does have a point about how decieving the internet can be and how easy it is to become the person of your dreams, but thats it. I mean if you are wanting to be famous, you want YOU to be famous not this fake person you've created! I want everyone out there to know who I am when I do leave the house (on occasion). On the internet I admit I may adjust a few minor details, although I want to show all you dedicated fans out there the real me so you can appreciate my enchanting personality. I do believe that you should show the real you then people can make up thier minds about you honestly. FiFi on the other hand is being decietful! Kid's, Ignore her foolish (yet quite clever, for fifi anyway) ways, at least until your older! Being yourself makes you feel truly happy about who you are, I express my views in political chat rooms and other equally intelligent websites dedicated to letting your virtual voice be heard. This is something I would reccomend to all true Internet Lovers.

Another thing I've been meaning to share with you all is my discovery that you can live through the internet entirely! Think about it, Clothes, Food shopping online, Work can be done at home via email, Internet Banking so you can manage your finances. You can meet new people via chat rooms and on dating websites (the web cam could come in handy) . All this will enable you to live in the comfort of your own home without ever venturing outside (note to self, enlighten FiFi to miraculous discovery) .

Also, FiFi will you please stop changing the back ground colours you could give a fan a seizure!!!

Love to you all,

Gwynnie x x x

Virtual Identities

Hi it's FiFi again,

I have escaped the clutches of my Uber Geek companion Gwynnie to steal 5 minutes to send this new blog to you.

Over the past couple of weeks I have been creating a whole new person for myself. I believe that virtual identies are the way forward, especially for people (like me) who lack basic social skills. I mean, I don't mind talking to the world over the internet but face to face - I could never do that!

Since signing up to several chat rooms I have been able to develop the perfect look and personality for the character I long to be. I have a different name, age and look like a catwalk model! Now one ever needs to know who you truely are, your real life doesn't matter anymore now that we can all live in the virtual world. I know Gwynnie would rather put herself on display on the internet, but I feel that creating a virtual version of yourself is much more fun. Why be boring Gwynnie when you can impress as sexy, seductive G? Also gwynnie doesnt have the problem as some of us do (like me) of being rather harsh on the eyes, she doesn't appreciate the difficulties image can create. So if your (like me) a bit of an ugly one, the internet is the perfect place to form yourself a new you!

You too could achieve this new identity. Just upload a picture of the most beatiful person you can find, edit your details and your away........ frienship and maybe more is just a click of the mouse away.

FIFI!!!!

may I ask what you are on about!? Facebook is amazing, it's easier to make friends and join clubs and societys, you're just jealous as I have more friends on Facebook than you!

Facebook is bigger than ever according to the newspapers and I agree, you can practically never leave the house and have a brilliant social life thanks to face book and when people are in the 'real' world you can occupy yourself as a pirate! something I reccomend to all Internet Lovers out there!Y'ARRRR MI HARTYS!

also you can have drinks, and show people you realy care about them by adding them to your top friends list. Who needs real contact when you can send them a virtual present on facebook??? Last time I checked this was something you couldn't do on myspace. Myspace may be better for bands but thats it, it's boring and takes twice the time to interact with! Facebook is simple and trustworthy it tells me all i need to know about my new friends without me ever needing to meet them! Genius!

Hi it's Fifi here:

I just wanted to add a little blog of my own to let you all know about how facebook is so not the best group space site out there.

If you want to be cool (like me) then you must appreciate the old skool love of myspace.
myspace is so much cooler than facebook, the layout is better, it has less of these silly gimmicks that facebook has had to use to entise it's followers and Fifi loves it!

I'm telling you now if you are a true internet worshiper (like me) myspace is the only site to use. Facebook is for people who don't love the internet and need a step by step guide to creating a profile page.

If your on facebook but feel you are a true internet worshipper then check out myspace its the only (virtual) place to be!

Adults can now enjoy the internet too!

Porn goes DIY with new website

If you've always dreamt about being a porn star now's your chance....

'Watching someone who could be your nextdoor neighbour having sex is far more exciting than watching regular pornography,' says Andy Henderson, 29.

Andy's talking about an amateur porn site he's hooked on, called YouPorn. Taking a line from YouTube, the site allows people to upload their home-made sex videos as well as view other people's postings for free. But unlike on the popular file-sharing site, here, anything goes.

Think of it as a saucy step-up from Facebook where, instead of snooping on the personal lives of long-forgotten acquaintances, you might get to watch them have sex instead.

Facebook 'more popular' than porn

Facebook is attracting more web hits than porn

Social networks like Facebook and MySpace have overtaken porn as the most visited sites on the internet for young people.

According to the 172 categories tracked by Hitwise, young people between 18 to 24 visited social networks the most, followed by search engines and then web-based email – with porn straggling behind at fouth.

This is from the Metro Newspaper, we think this a great improvement as porn is bad and Facebook is good! Facebook allows you to connet with hundreds of strangers for free, they can watch your every move and know everything about you. when you post your photos they can see how you look with just one click! Genius!

Thinking about video games and their effects............

Is there a difference in behavior when violence is rewarded in a video game (e.g., by praise or through a higher score) versus when violence is punished?

New research by Iowa State University researchers Nicholas L. Carnagey and Craig A. Anderson shows that rewarded violence in video games increases hostility and aggressive thinking and behavior. Violent behavior punished in the context of a video game increases hostility to the same degree, but affects aggressive thoughts and behavior less.

Fifi and Gwinnie are a bit scared of this. We like hugs not fighting, but video games are for boys anyway.

The internet is ever resourceful!

Try this one for fun!

Some exciting interent action - don't be scared its not real (YET!)
